November & December Update

saYPro hosted our 7th Annual Trivia Night Fundraiser, November 12th at Golden Sands Golf Course with MC Whitehorse.  We are proud to have another successful event, so we can continue giving back to our community, hosting educational and motivational speakers, and a variety of other events, all while continuing to grow our organization!   A huge thank you to our event and round sponsors, we could not do this with out you!

As always, we are proud to partner with Toys for Tots ever year. This year, our steering committee delivered over 100 boxes throughout Shawano, Bonduel and Gresham communities. Some members picked up all of these boxes on December 5th.  Due to your support, we delivered nearly 2,000 gifts to the Toys for Tots campaign, along with many monetary donations.  Thank you to our local businesses that hosted a box and to our community for donating toys.

We were proud to partner with Shawano BID and host a game station at the annual Holiday Stroll and Tree Lighting.  All ages enjoyed our "Pin the Nose on Olaf" and enjoyed our treat bags from Old Glory Candy.  We also sponsored a beautiful tree in the park, again. A special thank you to Shawano BID for organizing this amazing event!

We would like to officially congratulate our 2023 scholarship recipients for Leadership Shawano County!

Our first recipient is MC Whitehorse, owner of Badger State Event Productions & Party Rent-ALL has been a saYPro member since 2015 and continues to contribute his time to saYPro events and events hosted by many local non-profits.

Our second recipient is Melanie Curti, an art teacher at the Shawano Community Middle School who joined saYPro in 2022. Melanie also serves on the Friends of Mountain Bay Trail-Shawano County which is also a group that formed out of the Leadership Shawano County Program.

Congratulations to MC Whitehorse and Melanie, are excited to have two saYPro members participate this year.

We are honored to be able to offer these scholarships to Leadership Shawano County, as many of our members and board members participated in this program. Our hopes are to continue this scholarship opportunity for many years to come.
